Examine Skills - How to Study Learning Techniques - Part 1

Have you ever read a set of study skills that are supposed to be so wonderfully effective but really don't learn how to go about making them happen? Been there - done that! I remember reading a set of twenty study tips and considering, 'yes, I know that. I've read all that before'. I also remember two weeks later being just as stressed about examine and wondering what I actually could do to improve my study skills!! Now, I actually realise which i had already been reading that set of examine skills and not really knowing how to put them into practise. Get more information planning your study schedule.

And then I had the concept to talk to family and friends who have recently been very successful in their careers and ask them what study habit they thought was your biggest help in their student days and nights. When I spoke with my Uncle James this individual gave me two illustrations of how to put into action study habits in a practical way.

 one Routine 'me' time

Perhaps you have read this study tip and thought you really didn't want to trust yourself to go and watch TV or go to a movie with friends because is actually very easy to find yourself watching another TV show and the next? Or perhaps it's so easy to go to a movie and then want to keep hanging out with your friends because you're enjoying yourself and when you decide to go home you have to study?

Well here's a way to get some handled 'me' time. My Uncle James is an effective civil engineer and town planner; a business owner with global contacts. This is the tale he told me. Before he got his driving license, he had stored enough money from part-time work to buy a car which needed some tender loving care. Granddad James said he was so proud of his car and working on getting it into good condition was a passion; something that brought a huge laugh to his face. If he could been employed by on that car all day, he said he would have been in heaven. But Uncle Adam also knew he still had a long way to go in his studies and that study had to be his priority.

He got previously worked out that he could set themselves study tasks and adhere to them if he had a great reward at the end of the study time. So he'd study for about 40 or 50 minutes until he found his mind wondering and experience a little fatigued. That will was his cue to get up and go get his car!! Fifteen or twenty minutes spend focusing on the engine, polishing the chrome, cleaning the upholstery or any one of the hundreds of little jobs can do felt like a two week vacation (well... almost LOL!! ). As an additional bonus, when Uncle James came back to his studies, he said he found he was remembering more from his prior study session. Uncle Adam found out a few years later what was taking place when he was working on his car; his brain had little by little already been filtering and storing the information from the prior examine session while having been soaked up in working on his passion. Get the methods of learning and make the most of it.

2. Set small goals to achieve big goals

What Uncle Wayne had learned that yr was that studying in this manner had a two fold benefit. Not only was he able to handle his study in a much better way but he was able to see that, by breaking a major job into small pieces and working consistently, a extensive big goal can be reached with the lowest stress. As he worked well regularly on all his study commitments, he was regularly rewarded not only with the time put in working on his car but also by a growing sense of satisfaction when he watched his car turn from a messy, dirty wreck to a shiny well kept car with a nicely purring engine. After which the ultimate reward came in late the year of being able to get his driving licence and drive his car!!

Uncle James says that he still uses this approach today to tackle any large project. He has always tried to balance a big study or work project with a personal project so that there was always a great sense of personal and work related achievement. This individual feels that out of all the study tips and study methods that he's either used or read about, this was the the one which helped your pet the most in his student days. And it also did not take him long to realise that study habits you develop in your student days can be just as useful in your career. There is an old saying that goes 'you never stop learning', so if you've worked out a way to get this learning easier then you may improvement faster in your selected profession.
